The mane of the Hanoverian Mare is braided into small standing tournament braids. Her lively pose shows that she is full of energy and can hardly wait to perform with her rider. Hanoverians are amongst the oldest warmblood breeds and are excellent tournament horses. They are easy to train, bold and determined, and have a gentle, kind character.
Hanoverians are strong-willed and highly ambitious, and extremely gifted show horses. They are especially skilled at jumping and dressage. Only mares that pass an exacting test are entered into the studbook.
Fun Fact: Especially beautiful Hanoverian mares are awarded a seal of quality and are known as “premium mares”.
